What's you opinion?

Compiled by Bill O’Neill

Question: With all of the construction disasters happening around the city, and one recently which occurred in Canarsie, do you feel safe walking near local construction sites? Why or Why not??

"It depends. Anybody could see a caution sign – and beware. And yes, if it's something like a crane, I do feel a little unsafe. You're not sure what might happen." –Jahad Torres, Canarsie "It depends. Anybody could see a caution sign – and beware. And yes, if it's something like a crane, I do feel a little unsafe. "Yes and no. You don't know if it's safe or not. After what happened on East 95th Street, I think it was, I am more aware and concerned about construction areas." -Robin Mineo, Canarsie "Yes and no. "No, I don't feel safe. They should set up more carefully. Do a better job with scaffolding, so that things won't fall. And after the job, they need a better clean up. They leave hazardous things around that are hazardous to children." -Pamela Flood, Canarsie "No, I don't feel safe. They should set up more carefully. "I feel safe as long as they put the barricades up. They make it safe. Nobody in my family was hurt by a construction accident. So I'm not concerned." -Victor Bazemore, Canarsie "I feel safe as long as they put the barricades up. They make it safe. Nobody in my family was hurt by a construction accident.
