DUO SOUGHT IN E. 106 ST. SHOOTING

Police Continue To Investigate Farragut Road Shooting
By Dara Mormile

Detectives from the 69th Precinct are asking for the public’s help in identifying two men in connection with a shooting that occurred Sunday night at East 106th Street and Farragut Road.

Reports stated that an 18-yearold man was walking from his East 106th Street home to a nearby store at around 10:30 p.m.

Two men, who he claimed he didn’t know, suddenly approached him and told him, “Don’t run.”

One of the guys allegedly pulled out a handgun and the victim ran, but he was shot in the lower back. Police responded to the scene after they received a call that shots were fired at the location but the suspects had already fled in an unknown direction.

The victim, whose name was not released, survived his injuries after he was taken to Brookdale Hospital.

He was released a couple of days later. The suspects were only described as black men in their teens.

Anyone with further information on the shooting is asked to call the 69th Precinct Detective Squad at 718-257-6215 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-Tips. All calls will be kept confidential.
