Mary Queen Of Heaven Students Inducted Into Honor’s Club

Mary Queen of Heaven students, at right, were recently inducted into the National Junior Beta Club. The Club, whose motto is “Leadership Through Service,” is made up of fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth grade students who are named to their school’s honor roll. To qualify, the MQH group undertakes many projects during the school year for the benefit of others. A school official told the Courier that one of the projects the youngsters are currently involved in is collecting money to help restore foliage in earthquake ravaged Haiti and to help the country’s children pay for their school expenses. The honor students also send greetings for all occasions to parish shut-ins and collect foods donated to MQH's food pantry.
