Precinct Commander Promoted

The friendly smile comes easy for the commanding officer of the 69th Precinct, especially after his latest promotion has given him the title: Deputy Inspector Miltiadis Marmara. The modest C.O. said he would like to thank his “Canarsie friends” because “I truly feel this was accomplished not only by the hard work of the 69th Precinct officers, but, just as importantly, through the strong friendships we have built in the last few years in working closely together to make Canarsie a better place to live.” He said he is looking forward to his continued service in helping to make this neighborhood “the safest it has ever been.” Congratulations, inspector, from a grateful community! Those oak leaf clusters look great on your collar!
