Officers from the 69th Precinct Detective Squad nabbed Curlon Constantine, 25, of New Lots Avenue Tuesday.

During the arrest proceedings, Constantine implicated himself in several burglaries here.

“We took the suspect on a canvass of the area,” said one of the detectives who arrested Constantine.,“ and he identified approximately nine of the locations he had burglarized.”

He said the suspect would walk to random locations looking for no car in the driveway and then ring the bell at that home checking to see that no one is home. He would then go around to the rear of the house and enter through a window by either removing the window guards or throwing a rock through the glass.

“Mostly he would take jewelry and televisions,” said the detective, “and if it was too large he would call for a taxi service to take him to his destination.”

Captain Milt Maramara, commanding officer of the precinct, once again warned residents to be aware of such burglaries.

He said that, while detectives were canvassing burglarized sites, it was noted that some of the homes had again made access available by leaving back windows open.

Anyone with information on more burglaries is asked to call detectives at (718) 257-6215.
