Local Resident Recounts Coping With Earthquake in Haiti
      It was early that Tuesday (January 12) morning that my mother had been pacing back and forth to get ready for morning mass at the St. Anthony’s church up in the hills. And she had asked me to tag along with her, not being the kind to get up early for such things on a weekday.

Haiti Earthquake Resource Center Opens In Brooklyn
      Mayor Michael Bloomberg and Governor David Paterson joined Alejandro Mayorkas, Director of U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, to announce the creation of the New York Haitian Earthquake Family Resource Center in the National Guard Armory at 1579 Bedford Ave. between Union and President Streets in Crown Heights.
