Youngsters paid for sweets with the money going to Red Cross.
Boasting about his school’s recent fundraising bake sale he referred to as “an overwhelming success,” Principal Mitch Pinsky said, “The entire P.S. 115 school community is proud to have joined the efforts in support of the earthquake victims in Haiti.”
He added, “A team composed of our Student Council, School Leadership Team, and Parent Teacher Association mobilized the students, parents/guardians, and staff to contribute their time, efforts, and storebought baked goods.”
Pinsky said the response was so great that a one-day bake sale extended into two days and “we raised over $3,500, which was contributed directly to the Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.”
