No More Anonymity

Dear Editor:

While reading the January 7th issue of the Canarsie Courier, I came upon an article that was based on an anonymous letter regarding the disappearance of a special needs student at P.S. 279.

As a parent of a P.S. 279 child, I witnessed the whole incident, from when the child ran out of the school, up until when an aid from the school arrived to pick up the child.

The events in the article are completely wrong as I was the one who first noticed the missing child, not someone from another school.

The Canarsie Courier should not publish any information about events or incidents that are sent in ANONYMOUSLY. It is irresponsible because there is no one to confirm the facts of the story.
