Just before the Christmas break, three pupils were selected as November Students of the Month at Public School 233. The third graders are: Stephanie McBride, Alyssa Spencer and Nathan Watermann.

Stephanie McBride (3-302) “Stephanie is very cooperative and a helpful student,” said Class 3-302 teacher Margaret Cadogan. “She enjoys reading and her favorite subject is math. She has a positive attitude — socially and academically — that contributes to her excellent performance in class.”

Alyssa Spencer (3S-313) Teacher Jennifer Murray said that Alyssa “is a self-motivated young lady who takes pride in her work and challenges herself by not only completing all assignments in class and at home, but by also going beyond what was assigned.” In addition, Ms. Murray noted, “Alyssa displays leadership qualities which make her an asset to our classroom.”

Nathan Watermann (3J-315) Nathan’s teacher pointed out that he is “a self-motivated, well-mannered third grader.” His strengths are math, science, and art and “Nathan is an avid reader who devours the classroom library books,” she said. Nathan’s supportive family is evident in all his homework and independent projects, added his teacher, Fleur Dellimore-Alleyne.
