Police Looking For Shooter Of Breukelen Houses Man
Police say that the person responsible for shooting a man last Sunday evening as he walked within the Breukelen Houses area will face a charge of felonious assault or attempted murder — when he or she is caught.
According to the 69th Precinct Detective Squad, the 20-year-old victim lives in the Breukelen complex and was walking to his East 103rd Street home from an errand at a nearby store at about 11:30 p.m. when a car containing at least two individuals approached him. The vehicle stopped adjacent to the man and someone in the car fired at least five or six shots from within the car, he told police.
The man was hit in the right thigh when he tried to run from the vehicle and the car sped away in an unknown direction, police said.
Hearing the shots and commotion, witnesses called 911 and precinct patrol officers canvassed the area
