Generations Summer Camp Underway At Local Schools

Clockwise from top right: Excited campers emerge from limousine onto red carpet ready for a summer of fun; campers, flanked by counselors and director Derrick Dawson (center in rear); Dawson and counselors are enthusiastic about getting the program started.
Roll out the red carpet, the limousines - lights, camera, action! This wasn't the premier of the latest Hollywood blockbuster - it was opening day of Generations Summer Camp program, on Monday, June 30 in P.S. 114's schoolyard at Remsen Avenue and Glenwood Road.

While counselors were available to help with enrollment, campers were given star treatment as they toured the inside of a limousine and exited onto a red carpet. Camp Generations offers a wide variety of activities including trips, bowling and arts and crafts. Expert counselors are always on hand to supervise and make camp an unforgettable experience.

"This year we are pleased to have registered over 300 campers," said camp director Derrick Dawson. "The camp runs until August 29 and we are still welcoming applicants to join us for a summer filled with fun and excitement."

The other camp site is located at P.S. 276 on East 83 Street between avenues J and K. If you are interested in enrolling your child, call 1-917-681-1371.
