What's Your Opinion?
Compiled by Bill O'Neill

Question: If the Chinese government doesn't curtail its violence against the people of Tibet, should President Bush attend this summer's opening Olympic ceremonies in Beijing? Why?

"If they don't stop the violence, he should not attend. It's just not right what they are doing over there. President Bush could get himself hurt getting in the middle of that." - Judy Baker, Canarsie
" I think President Bush should attend. Why not? It's the Olympics. The President should be there to honor all nations." - Lucy Barresi, Brooklyn Heights
"President Bush should cancel his trip to the Beijing Olympics. It is very important that the American government send the message to the Chinese government that atrocious abuses of human rights are not acceptable." - Lucy Prager Weintraub, Manhattan
" I think President Bush should go, just to show the Chinese government that the American government is stronger than that. We don't annihilate people for unjust reasons." - William Banks, Canarsie
