Seniors Dance Night Away At Annual Millenium 'Prom'

They may be older, but they can still strut their stuff on the dance floor.
When Millennium Development hosts a senior prom the event lives up to its literal billing.

Last Friday morning the non-profit organization, which provides youth, families and seniors with high quality programs, held its 3rd annual Spring Gala Senior Prom for active adults from Canarsie, Marine Park and surrounding areas, including the Abe Stark, Mid-wood Vandalia senior centers, at the El Caribe Country Club in Mill Basin.

The scores who attended danced to the beat provided by the Skyline Orchestra.

Eat ya hearts out Fred and Ginger.
The band played everything from standards to rock and jazz to disco.
Just because they're called senior citizens doesn't mean they sit around and play cards. This group gets down and grooves to the Electric Slide. Photos by Bennett Silverman
