The Brooklyn Borough President's office hosted the sixth annual St. Patrick's Day Breakfast at Borough Hall with green bagels, music, dance - and plenty of "wearing of the green."

Honorees included Martin Cottingham (Irishman of the Year); Judge Matthew J. D'Emic (Justice William T. Bellard Memorial); Peter Lovett (Commodore John Barry Award); and Chris Byrne (Shamrock Award). Al O'Hagan of Brooklyn Baile Na nGael "Home of the Irish" delivered welcoming remarks, and greetings were offered by Judge Bernard Graham and Brooklyn District Attorney Charles J. Hynes.

Performers included the O'Malley School of Dance, and Mary Elizabeth O'Regan and John Houlihan singing the Irish and American national anthems. Photos by Kathryn Kirk
