As Vandals Spray-Paint Swastikas In Bergen Beach

A few miles from the Shabbat Across America celebration in Canarsie, in an incident being investigated by the NYPD Hate Crimes Unit, several swastikas (arrow shows one at left) and other graffiti were spray-painted on a couple of trucks owned by the Capezzano Construction Company in Bergen Beach. The Nazi symbols were discovered on the vehicles, parked across from the office on Avenue Y, when the business opened Saturday morning. The owner was stunned and immediately called local police. This is the latest in a series of anti-Semitic incidents that have occurred in Brooklyn in the last six months. Text and Photos by Neil S. Friedman
