What's Your Opinion?
Compiled by Bill O'Neill

Question: As influenza cases rise in New York City, the Health Department is asking state lawmakers to pass a bill allowing pharmacists to give flu and pneumonia shots. Would you get a flu shot from a pharmacist? Why or why not?

"I wouldn't go to a pharmacy for a flu shot. I wouldn't feel safe with anyone but the doctor." - George Sciarrone, Mill Basin
"Yes, I'd go to a pharmacist. It's convenient. You don't have to wait in line like in the hospital. So more people will get the flu shot." - Mark Capodilupo, Canarsie
"No, I wouldn't go to a pharmacist because I'd rather get it from a doctor. A doctor is a professional in medicine, and a pharmacist is just an assistant to the doctor." - Antonio Rodriguez, Canarsie
"Sure, I'd go to a pharmacy for a flu shot. The flu shot you'd get at a pharmacy is the same as a hospital or clinic." - Yvette Moore, Brownsville
