Area Students Named To University Deans' Lists Universities and colleges around the nation send us information on students from the area who have made the dean's list, or honors list, during the previous semester. To show our pride in students from Canarsie and the surrounding areas, we periodically publish the names and colleges - so you can show your pride too! To achieve the dean's list distinction, students must carry a full program of at least four courses, have a quality point average of 3.25 out of a possible 4.0 and carry no single grade lower than a C during the course of their college career.
