Out Of the Mouths of Babes

"Leo DiCaprio, eat ya heart out. My tush is cuter- and softer- than yours!"
Editor's note: When something happens in Canarsie, to Canarsie, for Canarsie, or to a Canarsien, we like to share it with everyone.

Well, three months ago, our business manager, Catherine Rosa, became a grandmother for the first time when her daughter, Toni, presented a bouncing baby boy.

Thousands of pictures were taken and we're presenting some of them for your pleasure (and Catherine's).

Thanks to the fertile mind of Features Editor Neil S. Friedman, the pictures have delightful captions.

Enjoy!

We'd like to make this a regular feature and have you be a part of it. See details below.

Take your best shot and we'll take ours! When you send us a recent photograph of your child (under one year), a grandchild or a close relative, we will write a lighthearted caption and publish it - at no charge - in our new "Out of the Mouths of Babes" section.

"I'm ready for my closeup, Mr. Spielberg."
Send the photograph by U.S. mail or E-mail and it will appear in a subsequent issue with a cute caption, just like the ones above. Photos may be altered for space limitations. Only one photo per family will be used each week.

All submissions must include the name, address and telephone number, plus your relation to the child for our records and to verify a parent or guardian has permitted you to send us the picture. We will NOT use an infant's last name.

All photos become the property of the Canarsie Courier and will not be returned and may be used more than once. The captions will be written by our editorial staff.

"Three months old and Ialready found someone to sleep with who's soft and cuddly - and the bear don't snore!"
"When is the photo shoot gonna end. I'm wiped out!""
