State Assemblyman Alan Maisel joined Boy Scout Troop 510 at the Floyd Bennett American Legion Hall as they assisted Sean Riback with his Eagle Scout Project. The Scouts collected 228 working, used cell phones and chargers to be distributed to victims of and child witnesses to do-mestic violence, as part of a program designed by Brooklyn District Attorney Charles Hynes and the Family Justice Center. Maisel contributed phones donated to his office, stating, "These phones will provide victims with the security of knowing that they can dial 911 in case of emergency." He added, "I want to thank Boy Scout Troop 510 and Sean Riback for their tremendous effort." Anyone can con-tribute to this project by bringing cell phones to his district office at 2424 Ralph Avenue.
