Carib Group Hosts Early Christmas For Homeless Children
      The Caribbean American Center of New York spread holiday cheer with gifts for over 100 needy New York children at its 11th annual Christmas Holiday Celebration at Brooklyn Borough Hall last Friday. Community Pitches In For First P.S. 115 Holiday Food Drive
      When Public School 115 decided to hold its first holiday food drive last Saturday, it never expected such an overwhelming response. As of yesterday, thousands of pounds of non-perishable items had been collected and they're still "pouring in," according to Principal Mitch Pinsky and Jayne Sclavos, one of the organizers.

Firefighters Branching Out
      As firefighters from Canarsie's Ladder 170 and Engine 257 fight small blaze inside house on Avenue L near East 101st Street last Thursday, one man on the ladder fights his way through tree branches. Blaze happened in the laundry room around 3 p.m. No one was hurt, according to Batallion 58 authorities.
