Community Pitches In For First P.S. 115 Holiday Food Drive
When Public School 115 decided to hold its first holiday food drive last Saturday, it never expected such an overwhelming response. As of yesterday, thousands of pounds of non-perishable items had been collected and they're still "pouring in," according to Principal Mitch Pinsky and Jayne Sclavos, one of the organizers. All the food will be picked up next week by City Harvest and then distributed to hungry New Yorkers this holiday season.
