Canarsie Woman Injured In Avenue L Hit & Run
      A resident of East 103rd Street was injured after her 1997 Nissan Suburban, which was parked in front of 9313 Avenue L, was sideswiped by a white 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis with New Jersey plates traveling westbound, as she sat in her car on the north side of the shopping strip last Friday morning.

ENY Man Fatally Stabbed Near BayView Houses
      A 24-year-old man from East New York was fatally stabbed early last Sunday morning in front of 1630 East 102nd Street, near Seaview Avenue, in the BayView houses. Detectives from the 69th Precinct told the Canarsie Courier that the incident was apparently sparked by an altercation between two men, after which the victim was stabbed in the neck and throat.

Weather's For Ducks — Olympics Is For Dogs
      Though it was hardly a day fit for Man or beast, both showed up at Marine Park last Saturday for the Brooklyn Canarsie Lions Club's fourth annual Doggie Olympics. Helped by a bevy of local merchants, several elected officials and the 69th Precinct Police Youth Explorers, the Canarsie-based club raised $2,000 for Visions Camp for the Blind.
