Local Schools Scare Up Halloween Parades
Darneil Morfried

Dressed up as characters from some their favorite books, students and staff at public schools 114 and 115 celebrated their love for reading as they celebrated Halloween last week.

Each school had its own procession with a P.S. 114 "Book-O-Ween" march at the Remsen Avenue elementary school and the annual character parade, dubbed a "Wonder Walk," at P.S. 115 on East 92nd Street.

Students, teachers and staff at both grade schools got into the celebratory spirit of Halloween by donning a variety of costumes from books on the reading curriculum as well as old favorites.
