Residents "Dine Out" At Four Seasons' Candelight Dinner
Every once in awhile - just to give the residents and friends of the Four Seasons Nursing and Rehabilitation Center a break from the norm - they hold special events. It really doesn't take a lot to urge them to throw "an affair" merely because the administration and staff have an affection for each other.
As a result, they held their annual Black & Silver Candlelight Dinner on October 24. And it was indeed a gala affair that delighted everyone. Recreation Director Tameka Battle-Burkett and Food Service Director Debra Alexander planned it so the mood was set with a dinner of chicken marsala, with all the added trimmings, along with sparkling cider. That was topped off with a three-piece band from Harmony Entertainment that set the toes tapping and guests taking the dance floor.
Battle-Burkett said the affair was planned by the Resident Council Board and the recreation staff to provide residents with an opportunity to "dine out" and socialize with each other. Over 75 residents attended and the event was dedicated in memory of the late Susan Greenberg, president of the council.
