2,000 Trees Planted In Brooklyn

More than 50 volunteers planted an estimated 2,000 trees at Four Sparrows Marsh, an area north of the Belt Parkway overpass on Flatbush Avenue just a few miles from Canarsie last Saturday, as part of the city's Million Trees NYCinitiative. Atotal of 10,000 trees were planted across the city at select Parks Department reforestation sites. Photos by Bennett Silverman
