For Yankees, Joe's The Man! As a N.Y. Yankees fan since 1940, I fully support Joe Torre returning as manager. I consider him one of the greatest managers in the entire history of the club - and all of baseball. He had the best record in the Majors since the All-Star game, and will definitely win the "Manager of the Year" award in the American League. This would also assure having most of the Yankees' free agents returning, as most of the players and fans, by a great majority, support him. Also, a new, record crowd would be set in 2008 if Yankee fans get Joe back. I first met Joe at the Our Lady of Grace Athletic Association Little League breakfast 25 years ago in Gravesend. I also predict that the Yankees will meet the Mets, with manager Willie Randolph, in the World Series in 2008 and win in seven games. And finally, let's make the family, friends and all of N.Y. fans happy by voting in (long overdue) a great player, manager and gentleman, the late Gil Hodges, into baseball's Hall of Fame. Respectfully yours, Frank Giordano
