Dunkin' Donuts Thieves Could Be Pair Sought In Robbery Spree
Charles Rogers

The two men highlighted in an article in the Canarsie Courier last week after they allegedly robbed a Dunkin' Donuts on Rockaway Parkway, stealing approximately $500 from two cash registers are apparently wanted in other parts of Brooklyn for what is considered a robbery spree.

According to sources familiar with the cases, the two men could be responsible for as many as ten recent robberies and one attempted robbery of popular places in various sections of the borough, from Canarsie to the Downtown area. Reports indicated at least four Dunkin' Donuts shops had been hit, plus a few other restaurants and pharmacies.

Apparently in each case, sources said, the pair would work under the same mode of operation as in the Dunkin' Donuts robbery here on Sunday, August 26. One of the men threatens either customers or store employees - or both - with a gun and then tells the store employee to open the cash register. He would then demand cash and both would "casually" walk outside. So far, police said, no one has been injured in the robberies. The only description given in the local incident was that both men are black.

Police ask that anyone with information please contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS or the 69th Precinct Detective Squad at (718) 257-6215. They say all calls will be kept confidential.
