What's Your Opinion?
Compiled by Bill O'Neill

Question: Some people object to allowing former Mayor Rudolph Giuliani speak at this year's 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony because he is a GOP presidential candidate and merely using the event to spotlight his campaign. Do you agree or disagree? Why?

"Giuliani played a big part in the 9/11 tragedy. So he should be allowed to speak about his role - how he helped everybody out. It's only fair to him, regardless of what he has in mind for his own political ambitions." - Jose Matos, Canarsie
"I feel he shouldn't be allowed to speak at the 9/11 rememberance ceremony because he would be using the death of thousands of people to springboard his political career. It's just not right. It's unethical." - Robert Giuffo, Bushwick
"Giuliani's a good man. Why not? He should be allowed to speak. Even if he's doing it just to help his campaign, he's going to be around politics for a long time - wait and see. Can't stop him from speaking about 9/11." - Anthony DeCarlo, Canarsie
"I agree. He shouldn't speak. Why would we want him to speak - and he can't even straighten out his own family and personal problems? So why should he then speak on behalf of families in mourning." - Lynda Johnson, Canarsie
