Seniors Appreciate Their Center - So Why Not Vice-Versa?

It was time for turnabout to be fair play last week when the administrative officers and other officials of Abe Stark Senior Center took time out to pay tribute to their members.
After all, it was obvious that the members, who come to the center daily to enjoy not only the facility itself, but each other's company, a good, hearty meal and a variety of activities.
The occasion was the Second Annual Seniors Appreciation Day, which was held on Wednesday, August 15, at the center, East 103rd Street and Farragut Road,
Recreation Director Hazel Cyrus and Assistant Director Nathan Williams told a festive gathering of about 100 members how they enjoy keeping the center prosperous and working for them.
"We're proud of you and we thank you for helping us enjoy your company day after day," said Ms. Cyprus.

James Tillman, a representative of Assemblywoman Dianne Gordon, one of the sponsors, along with the Millennium Development Corp., was on hand to greet and thank the members on the legislator's behalf.
Then it was time for one and all to make use of the dance floor and enjoy a cake baked just for the
occasion.
