Beating The Heat On Play Street
Local youngsters are shown cooling off as the Police Athletic League (PAL) kicked off the official start of the Summer Play Street Program around the city last week. Some streets are closed so youths can play ball and other partake in sidewalk games. When the weather gets hot, they enjoy - you guessed it - open fire hydrants with authorized spray caps so they can take a cool run through the stream. Play streets will be open until September.
