Too Hot For You? Here Are Some Local Cooling Centers

When high heat and humidity returns, the city's Office of Emergency Management (OEM) will reopen cooling centers in all five boroughs, including three in the Canarsie area (see locations below.). Cooling centers are air-conditioned and open to the public.

You may also call 311 or log on to NYC.gov/oem to find the nearest cooling center to confirm hours of operations.
