Sanit. Dept. Services Suspended July 4th

The New York City Department of Sanitation announced there will be no garbage or recycling collection, or street cleaning in observance of Independence Day on Wednesday, July 4. In addition, all Sanitation Department administrative offices will be closed next Wednesday.

Residents who receive Wednesday garbage collection should place their trash out at curbside after 4 p.m. next Wednesday for pickup. Those who normally receive Wednesday recycling will not have their material picked up until July 11th.

For questions about Sanitation services and schedules over the holiday, contact the NYC Citizens Service Center at 3-1-1 or visit the DSNY website at www.nyc.gov/sanitation.
