Cops Nab Four Suspects Who Mugged 17-Year-Old Four youths were arrested last week after they allegedly robbed and brutally beat a 17-year-old outside a P.C. Richard store on Ralph Avenue in Old Mill Basin. Published reports indicated the male quartet, headed by a 17-year-old, along with three others, all under 16, apparently confronted the victim near Avenue M at abut 7:30 p.m. on June 20. Authorities said the youth was visiting a relative who works at the electronics store and had just left when the four youths called to him and then began hitting and kicking him. Witnesses said the attackers took some cash and an ipod from him and then fled. It was unclear whether the victim knew his attackers. One report said the relative who works in the store saw the attack taking place and called 911. When the youths fled, he jumped into his car and followed one of the attackers, catching and holding him until police from the 63rd Precinct arrived. The 17-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with robbery and assault. The three other alleged attackers were also caught, although charges against them were undisclosed because of their ages. The injured youth was treated by Emergency Medical Service paramedics.
