Antique Automobiles Stir Memories For Some Local Seniors

Gas-guzzlers like this '68 Newport are just not economical these days.
The Antique Automobile Association of Brooklyn made its annual visit to the Four Seasons Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Rockaway Parkway last Friday for a brief trip down memory lane for some of its seniors.

Among the antique cars displayed were a 1966 Ford Mustang convertible, a 1968 Chrysler Newport convertible, a 1963 Chevrolet Impala Super Sport, a 1984 Chrysler Town & Country with wood side paneling and a rare 1974 Volkswagen, called "The Thing."

The '66 Mustang was an instant classic when it debuted.
The "Thing"was never as popular as the Volkswagen "Bug."
