Informed Voices Civic Honors Members, Youths For Service

Father Edward Kane holds surprise "Gift of Hope" award he received from Wanda Ihrig.
In a crowded auditorium at St. Jude School last week, the Informed Voices Civic Associa-tion honored those members who, through the years, have shown how they help make Can-arsie a special place to live and work.

Wanda Ihrig, president of the civic association, handed out awards to many members and residents, including a special prize to its chosen "Person of the Year," Assemblyman Nick Perry. Although Mr. Perry was in Albany on state business, his wife Joyce accepted the award for him. Photos by Barry Fischer
