Local Museum Curator Discusses Plans For Course With Students
Canarsie High School Social Studies teacher Sandy Hale, left, talks with Canarsie History Museum Curator Ramon Martinez as they discuss some of the curriculum and artifacts to be used in a Canarsie History course at the school. Martinez has been holding after-school classes for the past few weeks and said students like Ahmed Hussain and Babetta Johnson, seated, are eager to learn about the early years of our community. Martinez said he plans to open the museum, on Conklin Avenue and East 92nd Street, "hopefully, by late summer." Charles Rogers
