Spring Festival Brings Families Together

Families brought special dishes derivative of their country to the event.
It could have been called a United Nations Festival last Saturday evening at the Holy Family School auditorium as scores of families from the Canarsie Cluster parishes got together for the 3rd Annual Spring Festival.

Organized by the Filipino-American Community, families of all cultures came together for the event to celebrate each other and the diversity of life in Canarsie.

As Father John Amman, pastor of Holy Family Church, said, "This is an opportunity to get to know one another better and get to bring Christ to our family and friends." Those who attended were happy to "show off" the food, clothing and culture of their respective countries.
