Happy Birthday To Us! We're 86 Years Old!

It was on April 21, 1921 that Walter S. Patrick hung that shingle at the corner of Glenwood Road and Rockaway Parkway announcing the establishment of the Canarsie Courier, a community newspaper that would serve the local area.

We hope you don't find us boasting too much, but we didn't know we would wind up being one of the most respected community newspapers in the business and the oldest continually-published newspapers in Brooklyn.

We thank you for your patronage through the years and hope to be here for at least another 86!
