P.S. 276 Students Get A 'Fair' Education In Science

Every student at P.S. 276 was a scientist during the school's annual science fair last Tuesday.

Students experimented with materials such as foods, drinks, cleaning products and natural re-sources. While some students randomly selected a project from a list, others got ideas from every day activities.

"I was hungry, so I had popcorn," said fifth grader Lindon House. "Then I came up with a project idea - what ingredients make the best popcorn. By surveying my classmates and using different popcorn, I found that extra butter and cheese make the best tasting popcorn."


Can you guess what objects are in that bag just by reaching inside? Gabriela Villagomez' project concluded that most people could identify simple objects just by touch.
Asli Fraser experimented with different cereals to find out which one stayed crunchy the longest. Captain Crunch outcrunched Special K and Rice Krispies.
After various experiments, Janay Radix found that bodywash makes the most bubbles in comparison to bubble bath and bar soap.
