What's Your Opinion?
Compiled by Bill O'Neill

Question: In light of the current recall of cat and dog food because of possible contaminants, what cautionary steps are you taking in feeding your pet?

"Looking at Consumer Reports. See which brands are hazardous - and don't buy them. People are very upset about this. The idea of giving my dog something hazardous is very frightening." - Stewart Teitelbaum, Canarsie
"Honestly, I have the Iams brand. I threw them out. We're checking the Web site Menufoods.com/recall, and we're watching it very carefully. I have two poodles. If necessary, we'll feed them chicken and chopped meat." - Stephany Gray, Canarsie
"I only feed my cats 9 lives and cat's milk. I also have two dogs, a beagle and a Chihuahua, and I feed them dry food." - Ivan Torres, Canarsie
"I feed my dog table food - good arroz con habichuele and chueta frito. Good island food does wonders." - Sargeant Calderon, Canarsie
