Ainsley Duncan Jr.
The body of a 21-year-old Canarsi-en was found shot to death last Friday, March 9 on East 103rd Street.

According to police from the 69th Precinct, Ainsley Duncan Jr., whose ad-dress was given as Conklin Avenue, was found in the drivers' seat of his 2002 Infiniti with the motor running, his seat belt on and a single gunshot wound to the head, police said.

Sources said the shooting occurred at about 9:50 p.m. Witnesses said they heard "some shots" and saw Ainsley's car swerve and then turn into a driveway near 1123 East 103rd Street. The car struck an abatement, stopped and witnesses said they ran to the vehicle to see the victim slumped in the car.

Police who were patrolling the area were at the scene within minutes after witnesses who heard the shots called 911. Emergency Medical Ser-vice paramedics took the victim to Brookdale Hospital by ambulance. Ainsley was pronounced dead on arrival at the hospital. One report said that three men were spotted running from the scene, but that could not be confirmed.

Anyone who has any information on the shooting or crash is asked to call the 69th Precinct Detective Squad at (718) 257-6215 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential. Charles Rogers
