A 9-year-old boy, who apparently ran into East 94th Street from between two parked vehicles, was struck by a passing car Saturday, police said.

The victim, Ali Mohammed, who lives on the block just a short distance from the scene of the accident, suffered a head wound, police said.

The driver of the 2005 Toyota sedan was driving north on East 94th Street when the child "darted out from between the parked cars," police sources said. The accident occurred at about 7 p.m. on July 6. Police patrol officers from the 69th Precinct and Emergency Medical Service paramedics tended to the boy and the paramedics took him to Brookdale Hos-pital.

He was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived at the hospital, police said.

One witness said the car that struck the boy was "not traveling too fast, like some of the other cars that come up this street."

The driver of the Toyota remained at the scene and was not charged in the incident.
