Knights Sink Admirals In Shoot Out At Aviator Field

Danny Dragoi fired two quick goals into the Albany Admirals' de-fense last Saturday to lead the Brook-lyn Knights to a 3-2 win at Aviator Field.

Dragoi's first goal came in the 22nd minute off an assist from Ricky Charles. The second goal, three minutes later, came off a pass from Jeff Matteo.

The Admirals mounted a comeback, scoring in the 53rd minute off a kick by Dan Stevens.

Ricky Charles and striker Tarik Smith could have given Brooklyn four more points, missing as many opportunities before Charles' pass found midfielder David Tusta, who found the back of the net in the 80th minute.

It was Stevens again who brought the Admirals back, scoring off a pass from Dan Risso in the 88th minute.

The next two minutes were tight. Brooklyn goalkeeper Steven Diaz pull-ed in several Albany shots before time was called.

The Knights upcoming schedule includes away games against the Vermont Voltage at 7:30PM on June 23, followed the next day when they travel to Canada to face the Ottawa Fury.

Saturday, June 30 is Caribbean Night! Beginning at 7:30 p.m. at Aviator Field that will feature live performance by a guest Reggae performer. That evening the Knights will host the Cape Cod Crusaders .
