      P.S. 115 has once again demonstrated its commitment to community. This time, however that kinship goes beyond the borders of Canarsie, New York City and the United States all the way across the Atlantic Ocean to Zimbabwe, a country in southern Africa surrounded by Zambia, Botswana, South Africa and Mozambique.

69th Pct. Unit Keeps Vigil On Victims Of Domestic Violence
      Included among the assortment of duties of New York City's police officers is that of preventive measures to protect residents whose lives may be in danger as a result of domestic violence incidents. Just ask 69th Precinct Sergeant Jennifer Silva and her two-person Domestic Violence Unit, consisting of Police Officers Chris Thompson and Dierdre Clarke.

Study Finds Blacks Have Lower Cancer Survival Rates
      While the overall cancer death rate in African Americans has continued to decrease since the early 1990s, African American men and women still suffer more from the disease than other racial groups, according to a newly released report by the American Cancer Society.
