Letters To The Editor
Dear Catherine and Charles:
I'm writing this letter to thank you for including the press release of my new book "Fighting For Your Financial Future" in the December 14, 2006 issue of the Canarsie Courier.
I really appreciate the way you promoted my book. What a great layout! If in the future, you would like to once again run my columns, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks again and keep punching!
Randy Neumann, CFP(r)
A Note Of Thanks
I was pleased to see my picture and statement in the January 4, 2007 edition of the Canarsie Courier "What's Your Opinion?" column. I appreciate your taking the time to allow me to express my thanks to the wonderful police officers and dedicated firefighters who used the Jaws of Life to cut me out of my overturned truck last October.
I was remiss, however, because I was caught off guard by your wonderful photographer, and I neglected to thank the incredible EMS workers who transported me to the Trauma Center, and the amazing Dr. Lonnie Gross, the Canarsie chiropractor, who along with his terrific staff (Marilyn and Elana, his Office Managers, and Nina Gross, his wife who massages with hands of gold), treated not only my body and the herniated disks in my neck, but offered me unparalleled support as well.
"Thank you," simply seems inadequate for all the amazing care I was given, and the respect with which I was, and continue to be, treated.
Let There Be A Light
I've been living in Canarsie for 40 years. Now that traffic lights are on so many side streets, I would like to know why there isn't any on Avenue K and East 85th Street.
I think this is a dangerous corner because you cannot see cars coming from East 86th and East 87th streets or from East 83rd and East 84th streets. You have to go half way into Avenue K on East 85th Street to see if cars are coming.
I am surprised there are no serious accidents there.
