A Festive Celebration For Clermont Family Residence’ Kids

Santa bringing gifts brings smiles to children’s faces at Clermont Houses Christmas party.
Of the many celebrations in and around the borough this year, the Annual Holiday Celebration sponsored by Ron Harris of Students in Temporary Housing (STH) and Arlene Bekels and staff of Partnership With Children (PWC), which took place at Fort Greene’s P.S. 46, was among the best.

The festive event included dance contests, arts and crafts and the distribution of toys by Santa Claus, while his elves (Y. Soliman, E. Rodriguez, J. Lischin, M. Bowen and E. Esquillin) kept the children very busy too.

Plenty of food was donated by the following generous vendors: Kum Kau Restaurant, Dallas BBQ, Five Sport Soul Food, Hardees Restaurant, El-Flaco’s Restaurant, Delores Grocery, Jive Turkey, Little Louie’s Pizza and Snapple.

The sponsors especially thank New York Cares and staff, the Canarsie Courier, and Price-waterhouseCoopers for their annual support of toy donations that brought smiles and joy to the children at Clermont Family Residence and Public School 46.

They also thank Santa (Mr. Green) and Mrs. Claus (Ms. Clear) and the entire P.S. 46 staff, including Principal Ms. Brenda Hill and Assistant Principal Michael Heit, who contributed to make this occasion a special one for all the children and community.
