Cops Nab Suspect Who Shot BayView Door With Bullets

Officials from the 69th Precinct Detective Squad this week captured a suspect who allegedly riddled a door in the BayView Houses complex with bullets November 30.

Terrell Norman, who also lives in the apartment building where he allegedly peppered the door of a third floor apartment with as many as 21 bullets, was charged with menacing and criminal possession of a weapon.

Residents of the apartment said that they heard the man knock on their door at about 10 p.m. and, looking through the door’s peephole, didn’t recognize him and told him to go away.

Apparently, that wasn’t sufficient, because he returned a short time later and pounded on the door again. When the resident told him to go away, he started shooting, allegedly with a 9 mm handgun. The tenants fled to another room and called police. The shooter escaped before police arrived, however.

Detectives tracked the suspect down and said he would not reveal why he was angry enough to shoot holes in the door. He would not say whether the people in that apartment were his intended target or not, either.

Meanwhile, the tenants declared they had never seen Norman before. Charles Rogers
