Cops Of The Month Awarded At 69th Pct. Council Meeting
Several police officers were presented with Cop Of The Month awards at this month's meeting of the 69th Precinct Community Council, which took place at St. Alban's Church. Commanding Officer Captain Ralph Monteforte honored two police officers who responded to a recent shooting near the Breukelen Houses. He also honored four officers who were on patrol along Rockaway Parkway when an innocent bystander was killed in the subway station. "When people heard the shots, they all ran away to protect themselves," he said. "These officers ran towards the danger to make sure the bad guy didn't get away."
