Weinstein Helps Flatlands VAC
New York State Assemblywoman Helene Weinstein recently led an Emergency Vehicle procession through several neighborhoods in her district to celebrate the dedication of a new ambulance for the Flatlands Volunteer Ambulance Corps (FVAC). On hand to celebrate with Weinstein were Surrogate Judge Frank Seddio and Flatlands Ambulance Captain James Marcellino. The procession included the new Ambulance, two older FVAC trucks, as well as five vehicles from volunteer corps in neighboring communities.
With an increasing need for an additional vehicle in the community, the Flatlands Volunteer Ambulance Corps approached Weinstein for assistance. In the past she had provided the ambulance corps with funds for daily operating expenses and equipment purchases.
