Cop Struck By School Mini Bus
Brooklyn South police responded to scene last Friday at about 9:30 a.m. where a police officer who was writing a summons was struck by the above school bus. Sources said the 40-year-old cop was walking around a double-parked car to put a summons in the windshield when the eastbound mini bus struck him on Farragut Road just east of Ralph Avenue. Mini bus driver told police she was trying to avoid a westbound truck that had veered into her lane when she struck the pedestrian. The driver said she wasn't really sure whether her bus or the passing truck hit the officer. He was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, police said.
